Beginning the Process

It is a tremendously brave act to reach out to a stranger and ask that they create a space for you to share important and vulnerable things. By way of a simple orientation, here’s an overview of what you can expect:

You contact me with a brief description about what’s bringing you to reach out.

We then set up a short, free, inquiry call to determine if what you are looking for and what I offer are a good match. You share what feels most central for me to know, ask questions of me, and feel out the connection. Then...

…You reflect on the content of what was said and what it felt to talk with me (and I will do the same). If it feels like a good fit, then…

…We will set up an initial session. This is after we sort out all the front-end logistics – signing forms, sorting out payment, etc.
We begin with care and continue with care. I will encourage you to start where you feel comfortable, sharing as much as feels safe with a stranger (that’s me) who you hope will be of help to your life.

You can end therapy at any time. All acts within the therapeutic relationship are acts of choice and consent.
